CUNNTAS has been designed around a simple principle: the essential financial functions required to operate an Organisation should be included in the subscription, not divided into a collection of separately priced add-ons.

That is why CUNNTAS has one straightforward core price:

£30 per Organisation per month, plus VAT.

The subscription includes the complete CUNNTAS bookkeeping and accounting platform and payroll.

1. One Organisation — £30 per Month

Each subscribing Organisation pays:

£30.00 per month
VAT at 20%: £6.00
Total: £36.00 per month

The subscription is charged per Organisation, not per individual User Account.

An Organisation receives access to the core CUNNTAS accounting, bookkeeping, payroll and financial administration functions available through the platform.

2. Payroll Is Included

Payroll is included within the £30 monthly subscription.

It is not an additional module requiring a separate monthly subscription.

CUNNTAS payroll is designed to support employee and payroll records, pay calculations, PAYE-related processing, National Insurance, pension information, payroll periods, payslips and the associated accounting records.

Because payroll is integrated with the accounting platform, the financial consequences of payroll can form part of the same Organisation's General Ledger.

3. Bookkeeping and General Ledger

The subscription includes CUNNTAS bookkeeping and double-entry accounting facilities.

These include the Organisation's Chart of Accounts, General Ledger, journals, accounting periods, transaction records and the accounting information generated by other CUNNTAS modules.

The General Ledger provides the financial foundation upon which reporting, VAT, receivables, payables, payroll accounting and other financial functions operate.

4. Banking and Reconciliation

Banking functionality is included.

Organisations can establish their bank accounts within CUNNTAS and use supported banking and Open Banking facilities to bring eligible banking information into the platform.

Bank transactions can then be reviewed and reconciled against the Organisation's accounting records.

CUNNTAS does not charge a separate subscription merely for making its core banking and reconciliation functions available.

5. Sales and Customer Accounting

Customer and Sales accounting is included in the subscription.

CUNNTAS provides facilities for customer records, Sales Invoices, Credit Notes, payments, balances, transaction histories and receivables.

Sales transactions form part of the Organisation's accounting records rather than existing in a separate invoicing product.

6. Purchases and Supplier Accounting

Supplier and Purchase accounting is also included.

Organisations can maintain Supplier records, record Purchase Invoices and Credit Notes, manage payments, monitor outstanding liabilities and integrate expenditure with the General Ledger.

7. VAT and Making Tax Digital

VAT accounting functionality is included for Organisations that require it.

CUNNTAS provides controlled VAT treatments, VAT accounting, VAT periods and facilities designed around UK Making Tax Digital requirements.

The platform is also designed to accommodate more complex structures, including VAT groups where applicable.

Where Organisations are members of a VAT group, CUNNTAS is designed to gather the relevant information from the individual member Organisations while supporting the group-level VAT return and retaining the underlying company-level accounting records.

There is no separate CUNNTAS subscription charge simply because an Organisation is VAT registered or participates in supported VAT group arrangements.

8. Corporation Tax and Group Tax

CUNNTAS is designed to extend an Organisation's accounting records through to Corporation Tax administration and filing for eligible UK companies.

Rather than treating Corporation Tax as an entirely separate process, the objective is for the tax function to use the accounting information already maintained within CUNNTAS, subject to the adjustments, computations and additional information required for the relevant Corporation Tax obligations.

CUNNTAS is also being designed for businesses operating through groups of companies.

Related companies can be represented individually within CUNNTAS, maintaining their own accounting records, financial periods, transactions and statutory responsibilities, while also being associated with an appropriate group structure.

This allows CUNNTAS to support relevant group-level Corporation Tax information and processes while preserving the separate tax obligations of each company.

Group membership does not mean that the individual companies cease to have their own Corporation Tax responsibilities. CUNNTAS is therefore designed to support applicable group tax arrangements without incorrectly treating a group of companies as though it were simply one company for Corporation Tax purposes.

Corporation Tax and supported group tax functionality form part of the CUNNTAS core platform and are not intended to require a separate Corporation Tax subscription.

9. Financial Reporting

Core financial reporting is included.

CUNNTAS is designed to provide reports derived from the underlying accounting records, including:

  • Trial Balance
  • Profit and Loss
  • Balance Sheet
  • General Ledger activity
  • Receivables
  • Payables
  • VAT information
  • Other financial and management analysis

Reporting is part of the accounting platform rather than a separately priced reporting service.

10. Departments and Financial Analysis

Organisations can use Departments and supported accounting classifications to analyse income, expenditure and other financial activity according to the way the Organisation operates.

These facilities allow more meaningful management reporting while maintaining the underlying double-entry accounting record.

11. User Accounts

The £30 monthly subscription is not a per-User charge.

CUNNTAS separates User Accounts from Organisations so that authorised individuals can be associated with the Organisations for which they require access.

A User may therefore have access to more than one subscribing Organisation through the same CUNNTAS identity.

12. Multiple Organisations and Groups

Where a User owns or manages several Organisations, each subscribing Organisation has its own subscription.

For example:

  • 1 Organisation — £30 per month + VAT
  • 2 Organisations — £60 per month + VAT
  • 5 Organisations — £150 per month + VAT

The User can access those Organisations through the same CUNNTAS User Account, subject to the appropriate permissions.

Each Organisation retains its own accounting records, banking information, payroll, transactions and financial reporting.

Where Organisations belong to a corporate or VAT group, CUNNTAS can maintain the relationship between those Organisations so that supported group-level accounting and tax functions can operate without merging the underlying Organisations into a single set of books.

13. Security Is Included

Security is not an optional premium feature.

Every CUNNTAS User receives the security controls required by the platform, including mandatory Two-Factor Authentication, Recovery Codes, trusted-browser functionality and controlled authenticated sessions.

Organisation permissions, audit information and other platform security controls are likewise part of the service.

We do not believe an Organisation should have to pay a higher subscription simply to obtain appropriate protection for its financial and payroll information.

14. Help and Warning Facilities Are Included

CUNNTAS includes contextual Help (?) and Warning (!) facilities throughout the platform.

Help information explains functions and terminology where additional guidance is useful, while Warning information draws attention to important consequences or risks.

These resources form part of the CUNNTAS interface and do not require a separate support or training subscription.

15. Support Facilities

CUNNTAS includes access to its platform support facilities.

Where investigation requires access to an Organisation's workspace, CUNNTAS provides controlled Support Access so that temporary access can be authorised rather than relying upon unrestricted permanent access to customer information.

Any separately commissioned professional, consultancy or other services outside the normal CUNNTAS platform service would be agreed independently before charges are incurred.

16. No Separate Charge for Core Modules

Our pricing model is deliberately straightforward.

The core £30 per Organisation monthly subscription is intended to include the principal CUNNTAS financial platform rather than requiring Organisations to assemble it from separately priced essential modules.

That means we do not intend to charge a separate CUNNTAS subscription simply to activate core functions such as:

  • Accounting
  • Bookkeeping
  • Banking and reconciliation
  • Sales accounting
  • Purchase accounting
  • VAT and Making Tax Digital
  • Payroll
  • Corporation Tax and supported group tax functionality
  • Financial reporting
  • Departments
  • Security
  • Platform Help

Where CUNNTAS introduces genuinely separate specialist or professional services in the future, any additional charge will be made clear before an Organisation chooses to use them.

17. Payment and Billing

CUNNTAS subscriptions are billed monthly.

The Organisation's billing records include permanent Invoices and, where applicable, Credit Notes.

Payments may be processed through supported payment providers.

The applicable subscription charge, VAT and total payable are shown through the billing process and on the relevant Invoice.

18. VAT on the CUNNTAS Subscription

The CUNNTAS subscription price is stated exclusive of VAT.

At the current standard UK VAT rate of 20%, a £30 subscription produces:

Net Subscription: £30.00
VAT: £6.00
Total: £36.00

If the legally applicable VAT treatment or rate changes, the amount of VAT charged will change accordingly.

19. Cancellation

An Organisation can cancel its subscription using the cancellation facilities made available through CUNNTAS.

Cancellation prevents subsequent renewal in accordance with the applicable Terms of Service and billing arrangements.

The Organisation's permanent billing and accounting records are maintained in accordance with applicable legal, accounting and regulatory requirements.

20. No Long-Term Contract Required for the Standard Monthly Subscription

The standard CUNNTAS subscription is a monthly service.

An Organisation is not required to purchase an annual licence merely to obtain the £30 monthly price.

This allows an Organisation to use CUNNTAS without committing to a lengthy prepaid software contract.

21. Designed to Keep Pricing Understandable

Business software pricing can become difficult to understand when the advertised starting price bears little relationship to the eventual cost of the functions a business actually needs.

CUNNTAS takes a different approach.

An Organisation should be able to answer a straightforward question:

“What does CUNNTAS cost?”

The answer should be equally straightforward:

£30 per Organisation per month, plus VAT — including accounting, bookkeeping and payroll.

The same subscription provides access to the integrated core financial platform rather than requiring the Organisation to calculate the combined price of numerous essential modules.

22. More Than a Price

The purpose of CUNNTAS pricing is not simply to offer accounting software for £30.

It is to provide an integrated financial environment in which bookkeeping, accounting, banking, sales, purchases, VAT, payroll, Corporation Tax, reporting, security and financial administration work together.

That integration is central to the value of CUNNTAS.

Information entered or obtained in one part of the platform can contribute to the accounting records and functions that depend upon it elsewhere.

For Organisations operating through several related entities, the same architecture can also support the relationships required for appropriate VAT group and Corporation Tax group functions while retaining the separate financial records of each Organisation.

The result is intended to be a more coherent financial system and a more predictable cost.
